* treewide: remove superfluous disabled•••There is no need to disable Python packages for Python versions that are no longer in Nixpkgs. This change was generated using the following script: pattern='^\s*disabled\s*=\s*pythonOlder\s*"3\.\([0-9]\|10\)"\s*;\s*$' for f in $(find -name '*.nix'); do grep -q "$pattern" "$f" || continue sed -i "/$pattern/d" "$f" if [ $(grep -c pythonOlder "$f") == 1 ]; then sed -i '/^\s*pythonOlder,\s*$/d' "$f" fi nixfmt "$f" done Robert Schütz2026-01-111-3/+0
* treewide: clean up 'meta = with' pattern•••This commit was created by a combination of scripts and tools: - an ast-grep script to prefix things in meta with `lib.`, - a modified nixf-diagnose / nixf combination to remove unused `with lib;`, and - regular nixfmt. * python3.pkgs.*: Explicitly pass buildPythonPackage format parameter•••Long term we should move everything over to `pyproject = true`, but in the mean time we can work towards deprecating the implicit `format` paremeter. cc https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/253154 cc @mweinelt @figsoda adisbladis2023-12-071-0/+1

* treewide: with stdenv.lib; in meta -> with lib;•••Part of: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/108938 meta = with stdenv.lib; is a widely used pattern. We want to slowly remove the `stdenv.lib` indirection and encourage people to use `lib` directly. Thus let’s start with the meta field. This used a rewriting script to mostly automatically replace all occurances of this pattern, and add the `lib` argument to the package header if it doesn’t exist yet. The script in its current form is available at https://cs.tvl.fyi/depot@2f807d7f141068d2d60676a89213eaa5353ca6e0/-/blob/users/Profpatsch/nixpkgs-rewriter/default.nix Profpatsch2021-01-111-2/+2

* pythonPackages: remove `name` attribute`•••The `buildPython*` function computes name from `pname` and `version`. This change removes `name` attribute from all expressions in `pkgs/development/python-modules`. While at it, some other minor changes were made as well, such as replacing `fetchurl` calls with `fetchPypi`. Frederik Rietdijk2018-06-231-1/+0

* pkgs: refactor needless quoting of homepage meta attribute (#27809)•••* pkgs: refactor needless quoting of homepage meta attribute A lot of packages are needlessly quoting the homepage meta attribute (about 1400, 22%), this commit refactors all of those instances. * pkgs: Fixing some links that were wrongfully unquoted in the previous commit * Fixed some instances Silvan Mosberger2017-08-011-1/+1
